Make plans to attend this year's

4th Annual Trail & Pleasure Summit

April 3-5, 2009   -   at Dale Hollow Lake State Park

The weather cooperated for the weekend and several trail rides took place.  On Friday, the group gathered and with Jaime McCuthen, State Park Ranger, as the Trail Boss, headed out into the forest surrounding Dale Hollow Lake.  The area is scenic with beautiful overlooks.  Trails are moderate and easy for all ages of riders.    It was cool out but not raining so the riders blazed along just fine.    On Sunday the group went out again this time under sunny skies.

The conference on Saturday was very informative.  Lieutenant Governor Daniel Mongiardo attended for the third time to bring us an update on events and issues on trails across Kentucky.   We appreciate all the support we recieve from him and Governor Beshear.

A special thank you to our Guest Speakers for their time and informative information:  Matt Osborne, John Riley, Edith Conyers, Brian Pharis, Dennis Blackburn, Deb Balliet, Ginny Grulke, Cara Stewart, Jerry Hancock, and Dawn Wietfeldt.

Two horse campgrounds were repreented and we heard from them during dinner on Saturday night:  Gene Philbeck of Red Hill Horse Camp in Livingston, Kentucky and Jack Hanes of Long C Trails.

Thanks to all the trail riders who attended this year's conference.

See you all next year!
