TREK MISSION Trail Riding Equestrians in Kentucky (TREK) is a coalition to preserve, expand and promote equestrian trails and campgrounds, and their economic value to Kentucky, while protecting the rights and privileges of recretional equestirans. TREK GOALS - Promote equine trail riding in Kentucky - Increase public and political awareness of the positive impact trail riders have on Kentucky's economy - Enhance interaction amoung trail riders from all parts of Kentucky - Improve the trail riding opportunites and experience in Kentucky by developing and expanding trails, campgrounds and public hitching posts - Promote proper trail etiquette and responsible trail ridng by emphasizing the importance of safety and first aid training for humans and equines - Preserve and maintain existing equine trails VISION STATEMENT As in the day of Daniel Boone where a squirrel could traverse the state by going from tree to tree, the recreational trail rider will be able to traverse Kentucky by riding from trail to trail. |
